MTI Acquires Security Specialist to Enhance Infrastructure Expertise

GSS enhances MTI Solution and Services Portfolio with valued security skills

GODALMING, UK, 07, JULY 2011: - MTI, the specialist cloud infrastructure consultancy, today announced the finalisation of its acquisition of Global Secure Systems (GSS), a specialist IT security consultancy based in the UK. This first acquisition by MTI underlines its focused business strategy to provide complete data centre and cloud infrastructure solutions to mid-size and enterprise customers.

GSS will become the security practice of MTI and complement its infrastructure, storage, networking and virtualisation practices with existing and new security solutions and services. GSS has over 1,000 customers in the UK with more than 2 million users across a number of vertical markets including major financial institutions, NHS trusts, central and local government, education, travel, retail and manufacturing.

GSS’s expertise and experience delivers innovative security solutions ranging from backup, intrusion detection, bandwidth management, web services, desktop protection and remote access, through to network optimisation, testing and consultancy. These solutions and services will continue to be available to customers and prospects whilst GSS is transitioned into MTI.
