Xtravirt reviews Centrix Workspace 4.0. Application virtualisation assessment, metering, monitoring and delivery - what more could you want?

Xtravirt reviews Centrix Workspace 4.0. Application virtualisation assessment, metering, monitoring and delivery - what more could you want?

Overview

Centrix WorkSpace is a multi-tiered software solution focussed on application endpoint discovery, metering and monitoring, delivery aggregation and billing/chargeback.  It is aimed at organisations that want to reduce the cost of delivering applications and content, and protect user service levels when undertaking virtualisation transformation projects. It also aims to consolidate and simplify application deployment for organisations running a mix of application delivery platforms, including multiple virtualisation technologies.

In September 2009 Centrix Software announced the general availability of Centrix WorkSpace 4.0, a significant product update.  This review takes a detailed look at this latest version, and uncovers some interesting propositions.
