At the ESX console type esxcfg-firewall -s to display a list of the known services by the ESX firewall service.
To find out if the service is allowed or blocked use the following type of command; this one queries the sshClient:
esxcfg-firewall -q sshClient
At the ESX console type esxcfg-firewall -q to see a summary of the current firewall configuration.
