B2B Marketing Manager

The Role

  • Working for a modern cloud consulting and managed services firm
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, and working with the wider marketing team
  • Own the planning and delivery of multi-channel demand generation campaigns
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of thought leadership content

The B2B Marketing Manager will report to the Head of Marketing in this innovative and growing cloud consulting and managed services business.  Working within the busy marketing team, the B2B Marketing Manager will develop demand generation programmes that will help scale the business.

The B2B Marketing Manager will work with experts internally and externally to plan and deliver effective lead generation and lead nurturing programmes.  The role requires someone with expertise across the full marketing mix and previous experience of marketing technical solutions/capabilities is essential.

The B2B Marketing Manager will coordinate and work with cross-functional teams to develop content, applying their own copywriting skills to build effective marketing messages.

The B2B Marketing Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Planning and execution of effective lead generation campaigns, keeping to agreed timescales and budget
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of content and marketing messages that will position the business as a thought-leader and specialist in the marketplace
  • Working with Product Development, Sales and Marketing to create strategic propositions for different go-to-market channels and personas
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and their component parts, making amendments as necessary to optimise performance

Key Skills and experience

  • Professional marketing qualification
  • Proven experience in a B2B marketing role is essential
  • Understanding and experience of both product marketing and demand generation marketing
  • Experience developing B2B long sales cycle marketing programmes
  • Minimum 5 years B2B marketing experience including direct experience of marketing IT solutions and/or services
  • Experience of delivering multi-channel campaigns
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Content development experience (thought leadership, case studies, etc)
  • Confident, self-motivated, and able to manage your time effectively
  • Possess a good level of self-awareness
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good level of commercial awareness, comfortable using data/analytics to improve
