- The company will continue under its existing management team led by CEO Shankar Iyer, SVP of Products Bharath Rangarajan, and SVP of Marketing Renu Upadhyay

Xtravirt is further delighted to confirm that it remains a top tier, strategic partner to the newly divested organisation. Xtravirt’s CEO, Gavin Jolliffe responded positively to the announcement, commenting “On behalf of Xtravirt, I would like to congratulate everyone at Omnissa on reaching this milestone. Our recent talks with senior executives have been inspiring and we hope customers will feel as confident and excited as we do about building a future with Omnissa. We will continue to deepen our partnership with the new organisation and will continue to invest in bringing new managed offerings to market, that will support the long-term success of Omnissa customers.”
The completion of the acquisition has been widely celebrated by Omnissa employees. “I feel excited about the future of Omnissa and its customers as we launch a standalone business which will give full focus to the continued development of world-class digital work platforms” said James Hogan, Senior Director – NEMEA EUC, Omnissa. “I feel greatly assured by Xtravirt’s renewed commitment to work with us as a strategic partner; they have long been a key enabler to our customers, adding value across the design, delivery, adoption and onward management of our portfolio.”
As a mutual customer of both Xtravirt and Omnissa, St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust chose to work with Xtravirt as a trusted partner who could help them realise continuous value from their investment in Omnissa products. On the importance of Omnissa Horizon to the Trust, Joshua Gibbons, Deputy Head of Digital Infrastructure said, “Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) underpins the work of the Trust, we have 12,000 staff and millions of patients who rely on being able to access patient data securely from any device, anywhere.” Gibbons further explains, “Xtravirt provide us with a fully managed VDI environment built on Omnissa Horizon alongside strategic governance. In the first few months of working together, Xtravirt quickly demonstrated their operational capabilities, commitment to working collaboratively with us, and built trust with my team. Not only do they provide us with robust day to day services keeping us continually secure and compliant, but have stepped through in an advisory capacity, offering invaluable insights and experience informing our future roadmap”.
More detail around Omnissa’s onward vision and roadmap is expected in the coming weeks, but for now, this recent news brings greater certainty and will no doubt be welcomed by the 26,000 customers of Horizon and Workspace ONE around the world, as well as companies who might be re-evaluating the future of their digital workspace strategy. Many loyal customers will be tuning in to the Omnissa Live update on 23rd July to learn more about planned investment and innovation across the Omnissa portfolio.
