Xtravirt, a leader in the UK for private cloud consulting and managed services, today announced an expansion of its private cloud business with the launch of the Xtravirt Delivery Centre (XDC), its new engineering and automation hub in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The XDC will be home to a growing team of highly skilled specialists in enhanced software engineering, automation, and advanced private cloud capabilities. This expansion strengthens Xtravirt’s ability to accelerate organisations driving value from private cloud, meeting the increasing demand for secure, sovereign solutions.
Unlocking new value for customers
The Sofia-based team will accelerate Xtravirt’s delivery of advanced private cloud integration and automation capabilities, unlocking maximum value from VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) for customers ready to move beyond cloud deployment and into continuous innovation. This includes:
- Self service, automation, provisioning
- Operational dashboards, API performance management and monitoring
- Infrastructure as code, microservices, workflow and CI/CD development and 3rd party integration
- Containerisation, platform engineering and application modernisation
- Private AI pilots and production adoption
For customers looking for support to navigate the complexity of private cloud and accelerate adoption and value, the XDC extends Xtravirt’s Professional Services and Managed Services increasing capacity and breadth of capability, resulting in an integrated portfolio of services across the customer IT lifecycle.
Strategic growth aligned to lifecycle value
“This is an exciting and major step forward,” said Gavin Jolliffe, CEO, Xtravirt. “In recent years, we’ve significantly scaled our managed and advanced services to support customers across their entire private cloud journey. Our commitment to lifecycle value – helping customers adopt, realise, and continually unlock the capabilities of VCF – has been a key factor in Xtravirt being awarded Broadcom Pinnacle Partner status.”
Expanding into Bulgaria with the Xtravirt Delivery Centre is the next evolution of that strategy. It allows us to deliver the advanced expertise our customers need while investing in the growth of our exceptional technical teams.

Investing in our people
The new Bulgarian hub is designed to expand and enhance the services and value offered by our existing team of UK-based talent.
In a global market where deep private cloud skills are scarce, the expansion creates new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and career development. Xtravirt’s teams will work in close collaboration to offer additional specialist platform capability while continuing to lead the delivery of high-value services to customers.
“Our people thrive on staying at the forefront of technology,” Jolliffe added. “This move gives them new pathways to deepen their skills and influence the next generation of private cloud capabilities.”
An experienced local Country Manager
Xtravirt has appointed Eva Atanasova as Country Manager for the Xtravirt Delivery Centre in Bulgaria. Previously serving in senior roles within Broadcom’s Centre of Engineering, Atanasova brings deep expertise in advanced private cloud services, operational excellence, and high-performance delivery models.
“We are delighted to welcome Eva to Xtravirt,” said Jolliffe. “Her leadership and experience give us an immediate advantage as we establish and scale this new hub.”
Recruiting now in Bulgaria
With the Sofia office now operational, Xtravirt is expanding its recruitment efforts to include a variety of engineering and specialist positions. More information can be found on the Xtravirt Careers page.
