6 June 2023 – London, UK – Xtravirt is delighted to announce the appointment of Alan Barber as a Board Advisor. With over 30 years’ experience in the technology sector and having held leadership roles in global enterprises including VMware, Hewlett-Packard and Mercury Interactive, Barber will provide Xtravirt with objective insight and perspective towards corporate governance, strategy, operating models, company culture and risk management.
Over the past few years, the way organisations acquire and consume technology has rapidly changed. Recognising the challenges that they face when navigating cloud transformation, Xtravirt established a better way to bridge the expanding market gap with a modern, modular approach to migration and management of cloud infrastructure and applications – bringing innovation, expertise, and a personalised customer experience to simplify the multi-cloud journey.
Providing a robust bridge between old world and new world technology environments and supporting organisations across their lifecycle as they adopt and evolve, Xtravirt ensures value is obtained from both technology and transformation objectives.
Barber comments on his role:
“I am delighted to have joined Xtravirt. I have been very impressed by the team – an extremely talented bunch of people with a passion for seeing customers become truly successful. I am excited by the journey Xtravirt is on to become the leading lifecycle services provider, simplifying customer technology journeys and providing the best business outcomes.”
Xtravirt CEO, Gavin Jolliffe, also comments on Barber’s appointment to the leadership team:
“As the market rapidly embraced Xtravirt’s unique lifecycle approach, the business has sought to bring in trusted industry leaders and advisors to ensure that our high-quality services and the customer experience continually strengthen as the business expands. As a technology industry veteran, Alan’s blend of industry expertise, leadership, and global enterprise experience is a great fit to support Xtravirt’s onward journey and goals. He will play a key role in accelerating Xtravirt’s growth and customer value goals through his direct contribution and support of Xtravirt’s strategy.”
