17th October, 2023 — Xtravirt, an award-winning cloud consultancy and managed services business, has announced that it has successfully achieved the Partner Collaboration Award 2023 at VMware’s annual Partner Recognition Awards. The Partner Collaboration Award recognises Xtravirt’s proven success delivering strong customer outcomes alongside an ability to overcome the challenges of multi-party engagements.
This achievement is the latest in Xtravirt’s 15-year partnership with VMware, adding to Xtravirt’s specialist skills, knowledge, experience, and competencies across the VMware portfolio; qualities which gave Amazon Web Services (AWS) confidence in Xtravirt’s ability to support customer migrations to VMware Cloud on AWS.
Gavin Jolliffe, CEO at Xtravirt, comments: “Receiving this award is fantastic recognition of the tight collaboration between Xtravirt, AWS and VMware to help customers reap the benefits of VMware Cloud on AWS faster. Achieving so many customer successes in such a short time has been phenomenal and testament to the joint partner commitment and teamwork. We are proud to be supporting these shared customer journeys and ongoing successes.”
As a certified AWS Services Partner, Xtravirt has grown its vendor alliance landscape over the last 12 months and now works in collaboration with AWS, extending its engagement across AWS teams and business units to create a deeper and stronger relationship.

AWS
We see the Xtravirt team as an extremely safe pair of hands for our business and I look forward to continued growth and joint success into 2024 and beyond.

AWS UKI Lead for VMware Cloud on AWS
Xtravirt demonstrates a powerful combination of expertise which enables the business to bring clarity and certainty to the customer’s cloud journey. It understands the challenges customers are facing when driving a cloud strategy to access native AWS services and has witnessed some key use cases why VMware Cloud on AWS is the right solution including data centre evacuation, hardware refresh, reducing carbon footprint, application modernisation, and mergers/acquisitions.
Over the last year, Xtravirt has supported numerous organisations, including Kingston University and Sophos to transition workloads quickly and seamlessly to VMware Cloud on AWS, enabling them to reap the benefits of AWS cloud-native services whilst maintaining the familiar VMware footprint and utilising their existing skills on that platform.
Xtravirt has developed a VMware Cloud on AWS framework methodology which aligns to both VMware Multi-Cloud Adoption Program (MCAP) and AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP). Both these programs offer funding to support the acceleration of cloud migrations when working with certified VMware on AWS Services Partners.
